I'm surprised no one has mentioned Rand meeting Loial! When Rand walks in and sees him and almost Thinks Trolloc!,shouts and falls backward, then Loial just looks at him and says something to the effect of, "I wish you humans wouldn't do that.." just always struck me as a hilarious scene.

The most memorable scene to me in my mind when I think of TEOTW aside from the end of course, is when Rand channels lightning for the first time unknowingly.

How they portray channeling is going to be one of the most important aspects of a feature film.

Hands are do not have to be waved, wands are not used, and one could appear to be standing still to anyone who cannot see the weaves being woven.

---"Meetings at the Eye"

When the group emerges from the Cave and confronts the Forsaken for the first time.

This scene is full of imagery and is a perfect plot twist. The scene in the book is way too long for screen, but for this group to Face Forsaken for the first time is amazing. Truly this can be a very thrilling and scary moment in the story, and if shot correctly, would bring the fear to peak for the viewers for sure. One of my favorites.

Apart from all the things you have mentioned I also liked the conversation between Lan and Nynaeve in the Blight. Other than that there were also the answers to the questions why everyone has their heads bare in Fal Dara and why they always say peace all the time.

The Imagery of the transition into the blight from Fal Dara. How the trees are healthy then begin to see the spots, and then the leaves are literally rotting off the trees and then start to attack.

Hands down my favorite scene in TEotW is the prologue.  It set the pace for a rapid read through book one ten or so years ago for me.

a few more epic scenes to me are:

Tale of Mannetheren
winternight Rand/Tams escape from the farm.  (amazing foreshadowing)
The rat dream and waking to the cook telling Rand all the Rats were found with snapped backs.
The ways and Mashadar
Rands sickness after escaping the Inn and blowing the bejesus outa the badguys.
the darkfriend woman with the dagger who tries to kill matt
and mordeth.  (when he turns into a shadow and shoots himself through a hole in the wall and the boys flee up the stairs with terror)  Fantastic...

There is just so much awesome about book 1.  I could go on for a day or two.
And i agree with a previous poster.  R / M ratings only pls!  How else are we going to see future Aes Sedai events involving blouses being dropped Sad  Not to mention battles!!
