And here is the last genre to find a winner for the knock out stages of the competiton - Garage. Below are the nominations from the three Regiments.

The Archers have nominated... THE WHITE STRIPES
Quote
The White Stripes is an American alternative rock/garage rock band from Detroit, Michigan formed in 1997 by vocalist, guitarist/songwriter Jack White and drummer Meg White.  The two met in a local bar in Michigan and were married in September of 1996.  They released their debut album, The White Stripes, in 1999 and since then have released five more studio albums.  The bands style and sound is most known for the very unorthodox style that Meg plays the drums and the dirty, choppy guitar licks that Jack writes.  Their most recent album, Icky Thump, was released in June 2007, and contained the hit singles "Icky Thump" and "You Don't Know What Love Is (You Just Do as You're Told)".  The White Stripes' latest three albums have each won a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album.

Icky Thump
You Don't Know What Love Is (You Just Do as You're Told)
7 Nation Army

The Cavalry have nominated... SUBLIME
Quote
Bradley Nowell (vocals and guitar), Bud Gaugh (drums), and Eric Wilson (bass guitar) formed the garage band Sublime in Long Beach, California.  The band achieved major mainstream success with their self-titled third album; however, Nowell died of a heroin overdose in his hotel room on the west side of San Francisco shortly before it was released, resulting in the band's split in 1996. Worldwide, Sublime has sold 17 million albums, including about 10 million in the U.S. alone.

Despite their tragic end, their legacy lives on to this day in multiple live albums, compilations, and tracks of rare duets with bands such as No Doubt.  This band had 6 number 1 hits and have out sold most mainstream bands, however, they never got out of their Long Beach garage.  Sublime's What I Got and Santeria are two of their most recognizable classics.

The Infantry have nominated... MS DYNAMITE
Quote
Ms Dynamite (originally called Lady Dynamite) was first known for her vocals on the UK garage underground track "Booo!", which was regularly played on London pirate radio stations and was later released as a single. Whilst working at the radio station RAW FM, Ms Dynamite was discovered by Richard Forbes at a West End club. After working briefly with the UK garage act So Solid Crew, she released her debut album, A Little Deeper in 2002, featuring the hit songs "It Takes More" and "Dy-Na-Mi-Tee". In 2003, the album was released in the United States to critical acclaim.

In 2002, Dynamite won the prestigious Mercury Music Prize, a music award given to groundbreaking British and Irish acts, for her debut album A Little Deeper. She donated the £20,000 prize to the NSPCC.

There you go. There are the 3 nominations. All you now need to do is pick who you want to win (please highlight in some way or another) and go through as the Champion of Garage for the Grand Final! You have until Monday 30th June 2008 to make your choice!

Well, while I really like Sublime, I dont think that they are garage rock at all.  So, that said, Im going to have to go with The White Stripes.

The White Stripes for me. Sublime I really like, but not really in the garage category.

Even though I wouldn't classify The White Stripes as Garage, they still get my vote.

With Seven Nation Army firmly stuck in my head after all the football games this summer, how could I not vote for White Stripes?
